PUMANI Bubble CPAP
The PUMANI Bubble CPAP is a non-invasive respiratory support system developed to treat respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) and other breathing difficulties in premature and newborn infants weighing 1–10 kg. Specifically designed for low-resource healthcare settings, the PUMANI provides effective, affordable, and easy-to-use continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy while reducing the need for invasive mechanical ventilation. It is currently used in hospitals across more than 35 countries, helping improve neonatal survival outcomes.
Using an integrated air compressor, the PUMANI blends room air with an external oxygen source to deliver continuous positive airway pressure through nasal prongs. Pressure is generated using a simple water-bubble system, providing reliable respiratory support while maintaining lung volume and improving oxygenation.
